We collected this stunning 1600HF back from Brescia over two days and enjoyed every minute and with a fully working heater the journey was made even more comfortable. Extremely rare finished in the gorgeous ‘Giallo HF’ the 1600 is the most desirable of Fulvias built to win world rallies which it did very successfully being front wheel drive, superbly balanced and very agile with quick turn in and amazing handling with it’s HF only front suspension set up. The car is a totally standard example which is rare as most have been modified by enthusiasts apart from the lovely matching wood steering wheel however the original supplied. It has been inspected and awarded the ASI ‘Gold’ plate in 2008 (Two day inspection) for originality and everything on the car works as it should. The car is truly stunning throughout and drives exactly as a factory fresh 1600HF should do which is nice and tight with incredible handling, precise steering and punchy performance from the 115bhp V4 twin cam running twin Solex 42’s. The car came from a part of a lovely private collection of Lancia, Fiat and Porsche in Northern Italy and was only ever driven occasionally on dry sunny days. Only 3690 1600HF examples were ever built so these are very rare cars today. It starts without any hesitation and has excellent oil pressure when warm (Very important) The engine is bone dry and does not drip any fluids. The car is so beautifully clean throughout it really is a pleasure to drive and use. There isn’t another one on the market which is as perfect.
